Ronny TERIIPAIA, Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Culture, had the honor of participating in the award ceremony for the Economic Excellence Competition of the Science, Technology, Management, and Administration (STMG) classes, held at the Tahiti Hotel School – Te Parepare, in Punaauia.
The ceremony was also attended by Pépin MOU KAM TSE, Principal of the Tahiti Hotel School, Ivan ODONNAT, Director General of the Overseas Issuing Institute (IEOM), Thierry TERRET, Vice-Rector of French Polynesia, as well as Heinui LECAILL, representative of the Assembly of French Polynesia (APF). Jury members, laureates, and their companions were also present at this notable event.
The Citéco – Banque de France – IEDOM IEOM Economic Excellence Award in STMG aims to encourage and promote excellence in economics education within this stream. The award is supported by prestigious institutions such as the Banque de France, IEDOM, IEOM, Citéco, and the Ministry of National Education and Youth.
Objectives of the Award:
Promote academic excellence: The written test is designed to have a level of rigor similar to the National High School Competition (Concours général), while adopting a different pedagogical approach.
Encourage active learning: Emphasis is placed on collective engagement and student motivation, fostering learning for all students regardless of their level.
Recognize participation: Every participating student receives a certificate, and the top three from each academy, as well as the national laureates, receive a certificate of achievement, enhancing their future educational paths.
Award ceremonies are organized at two levels: first at the academic level, in collaboration with the Banque de France and IEDOM-IEOM, and then nationally in Paris by the Banque de France and Citéco.

In his speech, the Minister of Education congratulated the three winners for their work on the topic “the slowdown in labor productivity,” highlighting that they are a source of pride for the country. Ronny TERIIPAIA also reiterated his support for all students, encouraging them to deepen their knowledge in order to develop economic projects for society, create businesses and jobs, with the goal of building the future of our fenua today.
